all_ingredientsToday we began our food delivery adventure with Blue Apron.  For those who don’t know, Blue Apron is a food-delivery service available across the United States.  For $60/week, Blue Apron will send you enough fresh ingredients and recipes to make 3 unique meals for two.  My girlfriend is the resident chef, and together we’ll do our best to tell you about how two semi-experienced culinary novices and wine-enthusiasts fared using the Blue Apron food delivery system.  Hope you find something useful – and Bon Appetite!

When we first received the Blue Apron Food Box, we popped the insulation and ingredients in our refrigerator, intact.  When we unpacked it two days later, all the ingredients looked fresh and crisp.

This was our first time using Blue Apron, and so far we were pleased with the experience.  Ordering was easy, packaging was neat and the food was fresh.  Here’s a look at our menu for the week ahead:

allrecipes_front

  • Paprika Shrimp & Cheddar Grits w/ Tomato & Sweet Corn

  • Sweet Corn Ditali Pasta w/ Cherry Tomatoes, Jalapeño & Ricotta Chees

  • Spicy Hoisin Chicken Stir-Fry w/ Baby Bok Choy & Sesame-Ginger Cucumber Salad

Stay tuned to see how everything turns out!
