Today’s seared steak dinner would turn out to be one of the best I’ve had from Blue Apron so far.  Since I’m the only carnivore in the house, I would proceed to eat the entirety of the food prepared.  It was a simple dish and I loved every bit.

I’m a steak lover and it would be an oversight not to include that this was hands-down the best steak I’ve prepared
and easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten.  I’ve since tried to replicate this dish with store-bought sirloins and other cuts with little success.  Shout out to Blue Apron for the consistent quality of meats they provide for these dishes.  One thing I noticed about this dish and the next (Masala-Spiced Chicken) was that the cuts were thick and needed quite a bit more time on the heat than the Blue Apron recipe card called for.  Even then, notice how rare the steak still turned out.  Not that I’m complaining…
